As a catalogue, the plates were pretty good as you would expect. Though due to the composite imagery, the size of some of the images were not as useful and the reader would have been better of with a line drawing. That said, it is a tight and succinct wrap of present theories about Maya lordship imagery and has a pleasantly hefty space dedicated to Teotihuacan influenced and syncretic imagery.
