Great backstories for both protagonists, a lot of baggage that they avoid emotionally while playing the field. Until Jake and Tor realize that they're no longer the field, but committed. Their stunted development leads to communication issues, not annoying, but real and they screw things up--royally.Very emotional when they're not fuckin' like Energizer bunnies.
