Bound by the Heart

Bound by the Heart - Marsha Canham From my understanding, Bound by the Heart is a rewrite of an earlier addition of a less politically correct version. The characters are good, not amazing, but solid and the plot is well paced. The real strength of this novel is in the telling of naval skirmishes and the historical background of the inciting maritime events leading up to the Declaration of Independence and outright war with Britain--fantastic and fun. For those not interested in these events it might not be as interesting a read, but I found it highly diverting and makes me want to reread my Thomas Paine.
