Beautifully drawn story for a part of history that should leave one beyond despair, yet, Voinov manages to tread these perilous waters, filled with death and recriminations, and weave a gentle romance about two people caught in their roles and time. Elegant and well-plotted, as usual--a pleasure to read with no regrets save one...please write me a longer story so I can get lost just a little longer.
