If you wished Sherlock Holmes (Doyle, not Downey, Jr.) was a romance than this is the book for you. Throw in some early feminist thinking and you've got Second Sight.The dynamics between the two protagonists are good, though at times seem strangely aloof--it makes sense, so just go with it. Plus Gabriel's plan to win Venetia is a winner and unexpected. Highly entertaining.
