3.5Entertaining time travel romance. Set just before the Stock Market crash of 1929 in NYC, it is a nostalgic jaunt with speakeasies, gangsters, and two people out of time trying to make do until they can return home. The romance between a professor and his TA is actually quite touching and not done merely to be tawdry. One downfall is that story moves a bit slow and ideally could have been tightened to make it more suspenseful.
