"Stephanie, I'm begging you. Eat some doughnuts. I can't keep going like this." (p. 276)This book started slow; the change in the basic premise regarding Stephanie was not my favorite idea. I can see though after ten novels that it was probably a good move, just to shake things up a bit. And boy did they shake, especially after Stephanie and her mom come to an agreement. The NO DOUGHNUTS repercussions are sizzling. And the mystery surrounding the book itself is nicely woven and entertaining. Let's face it some of the best scenes were at Rangerman. Should not be a first read in the series, but a nice weekend escape.
