Okay, this is more of a 3.5 than 3. Entertaining vampire read with more emphasis on emotions than the supernatural, which I found refreshing. Enjoyed the interplay between the two protagonists, Samson and Delilah. Can't decide whether or not I think the names work, but honestly, I generally ignore odd or hokey names and concentrate on the story.Would have rated it higher, but some odd changes in character dialogue and the recap by a secondary character of the book's plot points in a mystery reveal a la Hercules Poirot, even though it was made crystal during the story, turned me off a bit. Overall, worth the time and interested in book #2.
