Surviving Passion (The Shattered World, #1) - Maia Underwood 4.5 This story is not geared only to romance readers; it has a much broader audience appeal. It also flows like a movie and could easily be adapted. Surviving Passion is a post apocalyptic story with romantic elements. Based on the decline in civilization as people revert to fundamental survival skills it is not paranormal or supernatural, but a solid exploration of the sociological shift in the event of a major collapse of global societies. In this new Dark Age, the story revolves around a young woman and the burgeoning tribe of people she joins reluctantly. Conflicts both man and nature are explored as the reader examines their own preparedness. Good writing, solid editing, and a well-thought out storyline make it a good read. I'm definitely looking forward Underwood's next offering.
