Fire Dance - Delle Jacobs A medieval romance set a few years after Harold's defeat to William. The details of daily life and the delicate maneuvering required to bring the Saxons under Norman rule is well done. I really loved the political elements to the story, the discussion of the difference between fealty and loyalty and the responsibilities of allegiance. Toss in some alchemy and ancient texts, a woman under the threat of being condemned as a witch and the reader has a gem of a read.
