Surrender - Sue Lyndon To the victor go the spoils. One woman with a secret to protect the one she loves. One warrior sanctioned to keep peace on a newly defeated Earth.Brought together under tense circumstances Fiona and Merokk are forced to accept the situation. For Merokk, it is easy coming from a world that is based on arranged unions. Fiona, on the other hand, grapples with her proposal. She has misgivings and there is a great deal of internal conflict that she wends her way through. While the plot is fairly typical with an alpha male and his war prize, it is sweet with some domestic discipline. As the standard on Kall, Merokk wastes no time in explaining the rules to Fiona, who to her own surprise finds them not too egregious. Detractors from the story: awkward beginning--killed the momentum of a surrender treaty announcement with a long-winded discussion of cooking and groceries. A couple of silly actions on Fiona's part which receive the attention they merit in which Merokk continues teaching her about his mate's duties and appropriate behavior. If you like spankings, this one runs the gamut from pleasure to punishment. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy fantasy sci-fi, alpha males in monogamous relations and a few good spankings. ~~ A copy was provided to me for a No Glitter Blown review~~Reviewed for Hearts On Fire Reviews
