The Offering - Christine Warren One major turned sex slave and one arrogant rebel leader turn up the heat.Well, this was a lot tamer than I was expecting from the blurb which implied some dubious consent when in reality there was nothing of the sort. I guess I was a surprised by the fairly mainstream attitudes represented from female servitude to marriage and a little disappointed. I like science fiction because it allows our societal rules to be broken and a new world to be accepted. Here, none of the rules were broken, if anything they were reinforced. I liked the less inhibited sex and the piercing and tattooing were very interesting, but I'd gone into this expecting something different than what was presented. Not that it was bad, it just wasn't what I hoping to read.Recommended to readers who really liked Princess Leia on Jabba's ship and want some rebel kickass action.Favorite quote: “That’s your brilliant plan?
