While there were things I enjoyed about this story the awkward prose and dialogue really affected my pleasure. The premise was old fashioned and the author primarily relies on narrating rather than depicting the story; i.e., telling not showing. All that said, there is a sweet quality and kindness to this story that is endearing. I look forward to Osbourne's growth and future stories.
